Last month, the heavy industrial outfit A Place to Kill dropped its savage debut EP, APTK, featuring the lead single “Jet Engine,” upon an unsuspecting world. A supergroup of sorts, the band comprises Richard Patrick of Filter and Jim Louvau of There Is No Us. Today, the duo have teamed with Revolver to premiere the new music video for standout cut “What Feels Right.”
The clip — directed by Tony Aguilar — captures Patrick and Louvau performing the barbed industrial diatribe in gloriously glitched-out, static-distorted footage. Watch above.
“’What Feels Right’ is probably the most straightforward track on the EP, and it’s one of the few times a guitar is showcased,” Louvau tells Revolver. “When Richard sent me the track originally he only had a scratch vocal for the chorus with the lyric ‘Hey, ya gotta do what feels right now.’ I said, ‘If we change it to “hate” instead of “hey,” I think we got something.’”
Patrick adds succinctly: “This music video is as good as a fresh genital purge!”
