Described as “hip-hop’s Kurt Cobain,” Doobie is gearing up to drop his debut rock record, Give ‘Em Hell Until You Get to Heaven, and ahead of its release, he’s unveiled two major collaborations.
The first is a new single, “Stone Cold,” featuring Nothing More singer Jonny Hawkins. The rap-metal rager echoes classic nu-metal bands like Limp Bizkit and Korn, and it’s offered up by Doobie as “an alternative way to punching a hole in your wall when you’re angry.” Hawkins said colorfully of the song: “‘Stone Cold’ is the musical equivalent to spilling cocaine in your cheerios. It’s like a temper tantrum, but still sweet and catchy as hell. This banger may be called ‘Stone Cold,’ but it’s got some HEAT!”
The second collab is with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Nick Leitz. Doobie, in partnership with Revolver Magazine and ONErpm, is sponsoring Leitz’s #07 car for the Tennessee Lottery 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on May 31st. (Revolver previously co-sponsored a Ghost NASCAR Xfinity car in 2022.)
“It honestly feels like a dream to be teaming up with NASCAR Driver Nick Leitz in the Xfinity series,” Doobie commented. “From growing up rooting for Dale Earnhardt Jr. to watching Nick Leitz race a car with my own face on it, this is something I’ll cherish forever!”
Leitz added, “It’s awesome that I get to help Doobie launch his latest album by partnering with him at Nashville. I’ll definitely be using some of his tracks for pump-up music before the race.”
