COHEED AND CAMBRIA announce inaugural Neverender Festival

Following a few sailings of Coheed and Cambria’s Neverender cruises, the beloved prog-tinted post-hardcore institution have announced the inaugural landlocked edition of their Neverender Festival, which also features Circa Survive, Sunny Day Real Estate and more.

Coheed unveiled the concert plans earlier today (April 14th), explaining that the first-ever Neverender Festival will be staged as a two-day event at the Observatory Festival Grounds on Santa Ana, California between October 4th-5th.

As you may expect, Coheed will be headlining, and they confirmed that they will be playing their Afterman double-album in full. Joining them will be the recently reinvigorated Circa Survive, along with emo faves Sunny Day, Turnover, Canadian pop-punkers Pup, Thursday, La Dispute, Hail the Sun, Destroy Boys, Coheed guitarist-vocalist Claudio Sanchez’s The Prize Fighter Inferno, Narrow Head and more.

The band have also explained that the fest will host “extra fun stuff we like to do from comics to cosplay,” though those details are incoming.

Additionally, Coheed will be staging another Afterman Ascension/Descension performance on September 29th, which will take place at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. That show will have opening sets from Turnover and the Home Team.

Tickets for both events go live this Friday (April 17th) at 10 a.m. local. You’ll find more info here.

You can learn more about the Afterman suite and the overall history of Coheed and Cambria in Revolver’s special collector’s issue on the band. The magazine, as well as exclusive pressings of debut album The Second Stage Turbine Blade — which features “Neverender” — and more can be ordered in Revolver’s shop.
