Bo Lueders — founding guitarist of industrial-hardcore band Harm’s Way and co-host of the prolific HardLore podcast — has passed away.
News of Lueders’ death was announced earlier today (April 2nd) on Instagram in a post shared by the band and the podcast.
“It is with heavy, broken hearts that we share that our beloved Bo Lueders has passed away. He will be remembered for his unwavering empathy and compassion for his friends & family and his magnetic, inimitable presence on & off the stage,” the statement reads.
“We kindly ask for grace and privacy as we navigate this extremely difficult time.”

Lueders co-founded Harm’s Way in 2006 and helped steer the band’s evolution from toughened-up hardcore towards a rough-edged, industrial-metal heaviness across five albums and a series of EPs, last leaving listeners with 2023’s Common Suffering full-length and the Other World EP in 2025.
With Twitching Tongues frontman Colin Young, he co-hosted the conversational HardLore podcast, launched in 2022 with the goal of “sharing stories from the touring lives of musicians.”
Across numerous episodes, Lueders and Young connected with a wide variety of punk, metal and hardcore musicians, most recently including Madball’s Freddy Cricien, Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe and Touché Amoré’s Jeremy Bolm.
