After hitting us with the funkified first taste of their The Blue Nowhere album earlier this month, prog-centric vets Between the Buried and Me have announced they’ll soon be taking those songs on the road during a co-headlining tour alongside post-hardcore outfit Hail the Sun.
The six-week tour was officially announced by both bands this morning (June 24th), with it being explained in a press release that the trek kicks off September 14th at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Union Transfer. The tour heads up to Canada and then down the Eastern Seaboard before heading westward, but it ultimately loops back East to conclude at Charlotte, North Carolina’s Fillmore venue on October 30th.
Between the Buried and Me will indeed be plugging their forthcoming The Blue Nowhere, while Hail the Sun are said to be gearing up to announce an album of their own, which hits sometime this fall.
“It is with great thrill and anticipation that we’re finally able to announce that we will be hitting the road this fall in support of our brand new album, The Blue Nowhere,” BTBAM guitarist Paul Waggoner said in a statement. “We always embrace the opportunity to perform for our amazing fans, particularly when we have new music floating around out there!”
As for openers, The World Is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die will be on the first week of shows, while UK math-rockers Delta Sleep tag in on September 22nd and will see the trip through to the end.

As previously reported, The Blue Nowhere is out September 12th via Between the Buried and Me’s new label home, prog-hub Inside Out Music. Copies of the double LP on Opaque Custard vinyl are up for pre-order now in Revolver’s shop.
