Though Avenged Sevenfold spent the spring highlighting an incredible career — currently capped by last year’s Life Is but a Dream… — on their big arena tour, the Huntington Beach heavy-metal icons will be specializing in some oldies for an upcoming fan-club performance alongside hardcore group Death by Stereo.
A7X announced today (August 12th) over socials that their Deathbats Club will be hosting a show at Santa Ana, California’s Observatory venue on October 25th. It will find the band playing music pulled exclusively from their breakout 2003 release, Waking the Fallen, and its smash 2005 follow-up, City of Evil.
The show is being performed exclusively for Deathbats members, with tickets for this smaller-club performance available for $25 each (there’s a two-ticket limit on orders). You can sign up to become a fan club member here.
Interestingly, the fall show finds cult hardcore unit Death by Stereo taking the headlining spot, with Avenged Sevenfold pulling opener duties. Of course, the two bands have a long history together, having toured with each other back in the ‘00s. M. Shadows likewise contributed guest vocals to a pair of tracks on Death by Stereo’s Death for Life album from 2005.
