Following their recent trio of singles, Avatar have now teamed with Revolver to revealed the full tracklisting details behind their forthcoming Don’t Go in the Forest.
As previously reported, the theatrical Swedish metal troupe announced the title to their upcoming 10th studio LP last week, and they did so at the same time that they’d unleashed the record’s flute-heavy, jovially rocking “Tonight We Must Be Warriors.” The record, which follows 2023’s Dance Devil Dance, also features the “In the Airwaves” and “Captain Goat” singles they’d delivered earlier this year.
Now, a full tracklisting reveal confirms that Don’t Go in the Forest features 10 songs, altogether. This includes the title cut, as well as colorfully-named tracks like “Howling at the Waves,” “Dead and Gone and Back Again” and “Magic Lantern.”
Vocalist Johannes Eckerström explained in a previous statement that the new LP is “filled to the brim with stuff we’ve never done before.”
“It’s all songs and concepts we haven’t been close to touch until now,” he said. “The mind is wild and we have lost ourselves in the darkest woods, filled with memories, and fantasies. Forbidden thoughts that must be spoken.”
Don’t Go in the Forest is due out October 31st via Black Waltz Records. You’ll find the full tracklisting beneath the cover art below, while an exclusive vinyl variant on Suspended Gold-colored vinyl is available for pre-order in Revolver’s shop.
Avatar are also touring the U.S. in early November, with the month-long trip featuring support sets from Alien Weaponry and SpiritWorld. Those tour dates can be found here
