APOCALYPTICA announce North American “APOCALYPTICA Plays METALLICA Vol. 2 Tour”

Finnish heavy-metal cello trio Apocalyptica started their career with a Metallica tribute album, 1996’s Plays Metallica With Four Cellos. Nearly 30 years later, they just released a sequel, Plays Metallica Vol. 2, which features contributions by three Metallica members: James Hetfield, Robert Trujillo and the late, great Cliff Burton. And now, Apocalyptica are taking those chamber thrash arrangements on tour.

While the group have a European tour on deck for 2024, Apocalyptica will be making their way to North American in 2025. The trip begins on February 2nd at Washington, D.C.’s Warner Theatre, with the 24-date tour making a loop from the east coast to parts of Canada, then down the West Coast, and ultimately wrapping at Houston, Texas’ Bayou Music Center.

Joining Apocalyptica the whole way through will be metal-edged hurricane shredder Nita Strauss.
