On November 13th, the 2025 edition of the Bowl for Ronnie celebrity bowling party — a fundraiser for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund — took over PINZ Bowling Center in Studio City, California, with a packed crowd of rock & roll lifers, ace bowlers and diehard Dio disciples. The lanes were locked down early; sponsor spots and spectator tickets sold out long before the first ball dropped, helping push the night’s haul to $85,000 for the charity cause.
SiriusXM personality Eddie Trunk once again emceed the event, as well as bowling with an all-star team comprised of Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), Adam Jones (TOOL), Shavo Odadjian (System of a Down), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme) and Brent Woods (Gene Simmons, Chevy Metal, Sebastian Bach). Rounding out the lineup: Rick Thomas of Truckee, California, who fought his way onto the team by dropping the night’s winning bid in the charity’s eBay auction.
Other attendees included Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Rob “Blasko” Nicholson (Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie), John Bush (Armored Saint), Gilby Clarke (Guns N’ Roses), Daniel Dekay (Midnight), Taime Downe (Faster Pussycat), Paul Masdival (Cynic), Michael Sweet (Stryper), George Thorogood, and Neil Turbin (Anthrax), among many others.
