Marilyn Manson recently recorded a cover of Gerard McMahon’s “Cry Little Sister” — best known as the theme to the 1987 cult film The Lost Boys — for the soundtrack of the forthcoming X-Men movie The New Mutants, due in theaters next summer. Today (June 29th), he’s dropped off a murky music video for the track. Directed by Bill Yukich, it’s a creepy performance clip that bathes the Antichrist Superstar in dark-blue lights, lasers, fog and glitchy static. (Alas, it contains neither gun-toting nuns nor Johnny Depp face-offs.)
Manson is currently on tour in Europe for a string of dates behind last year’s album Heaven Upside Down. Next month, he’ll embark on a joint headlining tour with Rob Zombie.
