Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should know that Tool are gearing up to drop their beyond highly anticipated new album — which will be the prog-metal group’s fifth LP and first record in 13 fucking years — on August 30th. The band have been playing two new songs live at their recent shows, “Descending” and “Invincible,” both of which will presumably be featured on the forthcoming full-length, though an official track listing has yet to be announced, nor has an album title and cover art been revealed. Today, July 21st, the group appears to have taken another step toward the big unveiling, as they shared a new band logo (along with a reiteration of the album release date) via their social media accounts. Fine-lined, golden and three dimensional, the logo bears a striking Egyptian bent and appears both upright and reflected underside-down in the posted clip. Check it out below.
