Rammstein vocalist and industrial-metal provocateur Till Lindemann painted the town red when he took his first-ever solo North American tour to NYC last night (October 1st).
Playing in front of a leather-and-latex clad band that included Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle alum Danny Lohner on bass, Lindemann cranked through a 16-song set highlighted by such eyebrow-raising solo cuts as “Golden Shower” and “Praise Abort” and backed by fittingly R-rated projections. Satanic doo-wop duo Twin Temple and synth-pop goth Aesthetic Perfection opened the show, bringing their own unique theatricality to Manhattan venue The Rooftop at Pier 17.
