In a strange bit of déjà vu, the Pretty Reckless guitarist-vocalist Taylor Momsen has once again been bitten by a wild animal while out on tour with AC/DC. Following an on-stage bat attack in Spain in 2024, the rocker has now revealed that she received a serious spider bite ahead of a show in Mexico.
“So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bit,” Momsen revealed in a new video post on socials, explaining that the arachnid got her sometime ahead of the Pretty Reckless’ show at Mexico City, Mexico’s Estadio GNP Seguros on Tuesday (April 7th).
“This time a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system so had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night…add it to the list!”
The vid presents a swollen spider bite on Momsen’s right leg before she turns to the camera and deadpans, “When do my superpowers kick in? That’s what I want to know.” As she noted, the Pretty Reckless did indeed play that night.
As previously reported, Momsen’s 2024 run in with a bat happened right as the Pretty Reckless were performing “Witches Burn” at Seville, Spain’s La Cartuja Stadium, leading her to tell the crowd: “There’s a fucking flying bat on my leg right now.”
In other news, the Pretty Reckless’ next album, Dear God, is due out June 26th via Fearless Records. An exclusive, limited-edition vinyl pressing of the album on “Tan Smoke”-tinted wax is currently available for pre-order in Revolver’s shop.
