The North American summer festival scene is about to get louder.
A newly launched fest called Summer of Loud will be bringing heavy bands coast-to-coast, and will be steered by the sounds of rotating headliners Beartooth, I Prevail, Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive.
News of the fest lineup arrived this morning (February 25), with the Sound Talent Group/Live Nation production being touted as “an epic bill featuring hard rock platinum acts, genre mainstays, and up and comers.”
As noted, the event will find Beartooth, I Prevail, Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive acting as headliners at select dates. Additionally, support sets will be provided by the likes of the Devil Wears Prada, the Amity Affliction, Kingdom of Giants, Dark Divine and Alpha Wolf.
The tour begins June 21st at West Palm Beach, Florida’s iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre, heads out West and up into Canada, and then concludes July 27th at Charlotte, North Carolina’s PNC Music Pavilion.
Ticket pre-sales for the inaugural Summer of Loud go live today, while general on-sales become available this Friday (February 28th). The Summer of Loud site has more info on ticketing and the lineup breakdown over here.
“Summer of Loud is gonna be a clinic in metalcore ass-whoopery, and it’s an absolute honor to be a part of this epic tour with such good company,” Beartooth vocalist Caleb Shomo said in a statement, adding, “Strap in for one of the most fun summer shows of your life.”
“This is the literal definition of a stacked line up, it’s straight up insane,” noted Parkway Drive frontman Winston McCall. “Nothing but power from top to bottom, this is going to be a summer to remember. So stoked to be part of it, so siked to bring the carnage and chaos. Let’s fucking GO!!!”
Killswitch Engage’s Jesse Leach praised Summer of Loud’s “huge and exciting lineup,” adding that he’s “honored and stoked to be able to share the stage with such solid and killer bands.”
