Spiritbox are officially part of mega-rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s Act II.
Following last year’s djented-up, scream-imbued rock remix of the rapper’s “Cobra,” it’s now been confirmed by Thee Stallion herself that Spiritbox will also be a part of her upcoming album, Act II. The project drops this Friday (October 25th), and while previews of the Spiritbox collaboration have yet to arrive, we now know that it’s called “TYG.”
As previously reported, Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante and guitarist Mike Stringer were brought into Megan Thee Stallion’s orbit last year in a whirlwind experience that found the group writing and recording sections for the “Cobra” remix, and then releasing it to streamers, in under 36 hours. LaPlante told Revolver at the time that it was “a fever dream” experience, and that the band were supremely honored to collaborate on a heavy Megan Thee Stallion song.
Act II will also feature guest spots from rapper Flo Milli and RM of boy band BTS. You’ll find the full tracklist details, which were unveiled over social media as scrawled onto a CD-R, down below. While it streams in full by Friday, you can also pre-order the Act II CD over here.
