Slipknot did indeed bring the pain last night (August 6th) when they officially launched their “Here Comes the Pain” tour at Noblesville, Indiana’s Ruoff Music Center.
The band’s celebratory trek behind the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut LP didn’t exactly roll out as a full-album, track-for-track playthrough, but the Iowa Nine did in fact play the grand majority of that landmark release throughout the 14-song set.
Throughout the sold-out performance, Slipknot obviously dove into big hits like “Wait and Bleed” and fan favorites including “Eyeless” and “Purity.” But deep cuts “No Life” and “Scissors” were performed for the first time since 2000, while the night also included B-sides “Me Inside” and “Get This.”
It was pure pandemonium for the Maggots, with the band’s manic action captured by photographer Chris Shaw, as well as through fan-filmed footage quickly uploaded to social media following the show. Slipknot’s “Here Comes the Pain” tour continues tonight (August 7th) at Burgettstown, Pennsylvania’s Pavilion at Star Lake, and finds the headliners joined by openers Knocked Loose and Orbit Culture.
