Sleep Token made their long-awaited and wildly anticipated return to the stage tonight (June 7th), with the cryptic metal force headlining Nuremberg, Germany’s famed Rock im Park festival with an era-spanning set full of fan-favorite offerings.
It was Vessel and Co.’s first concert appearance of 2025, and indeed their first time onstage since delivering this spring’s chart-topping fourth album, Even in Arcadia. Accordingly, the night found Sleep Token giving live debuts to a bunch of recent offerings, including “Look to Windward,” “Emergence” and “Caramel.”
The performance on Rock im Ring’s Mandora Stage likewise homed in on Take Me Back to Eden-era jams like “The Summoning,” “Vore” and “Aqua Regia,” Sundowning standouts such as “Hypnosis,” and even super rarity “Thread the Needle” off the band’s 2016 debut EP, One — all of which showcased Sleep Token’s compelling whirl of alt rock, djent, pop, electronica and more.
