Mysterious Las Vegas metal cult Sigil have dropped the eerie and violent music video for their crushing single “Death Proof.” The clip follows a unnamed “host” on his twisted nighttime journey to a gory occult ritual and his ultimate possession by a demonic spirit.
“‘Death Proof’ signifies Stygal’s awakening,” the band comments of the song, which is available here, and its cinematic video. “Tormented by the high priestess and her legion of followers, the host is met with unfortunate and grueling circumstances he can’t seem to shake. Finally realizing there’s no escaping his new destined fate, the host gives in to Stygal’s possession, and emerges anew as the Bringer of Death.”
Each member of the band has his own demon sigil, which is a symbol of a specific meaning — Stygal, “Bringer of Death”; Eksusha, “The God Eyed”; Digdin, “the Disordered”; Lucifer, “the Morning Star” and Eligos, “the Visible and Invisible.” The group is set to play Rage Fest in their hometown with Attila, Suicide Silence, Volumes and more on August 22nd; tickets can be purchased here.
