Wristmeetrazor spent their recent fall tour alongside Vended promoting the industrialized metal tracks off their recent Degeneration album. Now, just as the quintet have announced an upcoming U.K. trek, they’ve also unleashed a video for one of the record’s most psyche-damaged bangers: “DogdayGod.”
The new video was directed between the band and Joshua Boerum-Ruh, and it finds Wristmeetrazor stalking an abandoned compound, gooping old toys in black and white paint, and raging through their “Dogdaygod.” You can see the video, which frantically undulates in-and-out-of-focus, up above.
Earlier this year, Wristmeetrazor vocalist Justin Fornof explained in his track-by-track breakdown of Degeneration that “DogdayGod” was based on a story they heard about a preacher who had hired a hitman off the dark web to kill his wife. The song more broadly inspects the hypocrisy of Christianity, social media moral-handwringers, and the “moral filth” and “evil” he found in an old Bible verse.
In addition to the new video, Wristmeetrazor have confirmed they’re headed overseas next January. The band’s 2025 tour with Long Goodbye and Divine Hatred begins in Brighton, U.K. You’ll find the date details down below.
