See ‘Shaun of the Dead’ Actors Star in Wacky New ‘Slaughterhouse Rulez’ Trailer

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are back. Fourteen years after teaming up for the now-legendary horror-comedy film Shaun of the Dead — the first entry in a trilogy that also included 2007’s Hot Fuzz and 2013’s The World’s End — the pair are set to appear together again on the big screen in the feature film Slaughterhouse Rulez, a new dark comedy hitting theaters this fall.

The film stars Pegg as a buttoned-up instructor at a stuffy British boarding school that — due to a nearby fracking incident — has a serious monster problem on its hands. Frost’s character is a little tougher to pin down: The trailer has him giving the schoolkids a foreboding warning about the horrors down below, and then asking them if they want to score some drugs — all with a clown mask resting on his head. Factor in the shots of massive explosions, mutant animals and lethally armed schoolchildren, and you’ve got one hell of a preview.

Directed and co-written by musician Crispian Mills (of the British indie-psych band Kula Shaker),Slaughterhouse Rulez also stars Michael Sheen, Asa Butterfield, Finn Cole and Hermione Corfield. It’ll be released in the U.K. on October 31st, with U.S. premiere to follow.
