It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, in part because Creed, Alter Bridge and Tremonti member Mark Tremonti is currently staging his annual run of holiday “Tremonti Sings Sinatra” concerts. Things got especially holly jolly over the weekend, though, when Tremonti brought Sevendust vocalist Lajon Witherspoon out to sing a rendition of soulful Yuletide classic “This Christmas.”
The pair partnered up for a take on Donny Hathaway’s 1970 single while performing at Orlando, Florida’s Walt Disney Theater on Saturday (December 14 th). The backup band included a multi-piece orchestra, as well as Tremonti’s Creed and Alter Bridge bandmates Brian Marshall (bass), Scott Phillips (drums) and Alter Bridge’s Myles Kennedy on guitar.
The “This Christmas” cover, which Tremonti had also hit on his 2023 holiday album Mark Tremonti Christmas Classics New & Old, played it straight, with the concert’s host and Witherspoon trading bars and vocal runs while decked out in snappy black tie get-ups. Kennedy hits a sly lil’ soul guitar solo, too.

As previously reported, Tremonti likewise has an album coming out in early 2025 with his most metal-edged eponymous outfit. The End Will Show Us How arrives January 10th via Napalm Records.
As for Tremonti’s other band Creed, they’ve announced another round of “Summer of ‘99” arena tour dates, which kick off next July and will have the post-grunge faves flanked by opening acts including Big Wreck, Mammoth WVH, Daughtry and 3 Doors Down. You’ll find those dates here.
