Linkin Park premiered yet another new song on their latest world tour, this time treating fans at Arlington, Texas’ Globe Life Field to the live debut of a fast and heavy jam titled “Casualty.”
The song was performed midway through the band’s set last Friday (November 8th), and vocalist-guitarist Mike Shinoda teased up-front that new co-vocalist Emily Armstrong was going to get wild on the mic, telling the crowd that they were about “to find out what happens when Em puts her screaming pants on.”
From there, the band leaned into a chunky intro groove, upon which Shinoda and Armstrong did some tag-team growling (“Something’s coming… it’s only a matter of time”). And then they launched into a metallic double-time chorus.
“If ever there was a time in a Linkin Park show to show us the biggest pit that you can…” Shinoda said mid-song, trailing off slightly. “Some of you motherfuckers haven’t been in a pit in, like, 10 years. Don’t you miss it?”

The rest of the performance, meanwhile, included big hits from across the band’s catalog, as well as newer reunion-period tunes like “Heavy Is the Crown” and “Over Each Other.” Helmet’s Page Hamilton, whose band opened the show, also popped up onstage to sing and play guitar through the live debut of Linkin’s The Hunting Party-era song “All for Nothing.”
