Lamb of God got extra filthy at Aftershock over the weekend, with the Virginia-bred metal icons having debuted super sick new single “Sepsis” on-stage for the masses in Sacramento, California.
As previously reported, Lamb of God unveiled the track late last week, its grimy-to-thrashy arrangement delivered as a tribute to Richmond, Virginia’s Nineties-era heavy scene — specifically to how bands including Breadwinner, Sliang Laos, and Ladyfinger inspired Lamb of God’s time as Burn the Priest.
Last weekend, Lamb of God paid it forward by absolutely crushing the cut during their Friday night (October 3rd) appearance on Aftershock’s Shockwave stage. “Sepsis” showed up near the end of a nine-song set that featured heavyweight favorites like Ashes of the Wake’s “Laid to Rest,” Sacrament’s “Redneck” and As the Palaces Burn’s monstrous “Ruin.”

“Sepsis” is Lamb of God’s first single through new label home Century Media Records. Details have not yet been revealed behind a full-length follow-up to the band’s last full-length release, 2022’s Omens.
