Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry gave New York fans a taste of what’s to come on their upcoming tour, having delivered the first-ever collaborative live performance of their “Hive Mind” single at Brooklyn’s Substance Skatepark.
Last night’s (July 28th) free show had been announced earlier in the week, and drew more than 5,000 RSVPs for the 200 cap venue. As such, the place was packed for the night, which featured sets from Knocked Loose, Denzel Curry and hardcore band Combust.
While Knocked Loose had hit “Hive Mind” live several times since its release, including on the band’s series of European shows with Metallica, last night’s performance was the first time that they were able to mount it with Curry on the mic. He and Knocked Loose vocalist Bryan Garris got to trade-off on the heavy cut, which got the pit leaning from side to side.
You can catch the heat from their “Hive Mind” and more via the fan-shot live footage up above and down below.
As previously reported, Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry are co-headlining the “Hive Mind Tour” later this year, which also features opening sets from Connecticut metalcore blazers Boundaries and post-grunge melodicists Superheaven. The first show of the tour is September 26th at the MegaCorp Pavilion in Newport, Kentucky.
