Last week, Jerry Cantrell premiered a grunge-heavy new song called “Vilified,” featuring bass playing by Metallica’ rhythm-stringer’s Robert Trujillo. Today (July 31st) the Alice in Chains guitarist-vocalist offered up the striking music video for the single, which was directed by Lorenzo Diego and cuts between surreal narrative footage and performance clips of Cantrell playing the song.

“Vilified” is the lead single off I Want Blood, Cantrell’s guests-packed fourth solo LP, which, in addition to Trujillo’s contribution, boasts appearances from Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Faith No More’s Mike Bordin, Better Lovers’ Greg Puciato and more.
