Following the recent release of Papa Roach’s rap-metal-heavy “BRAINDEAD” single with H20 frontman Toby Morse, the veteran nu-rockers are now overloading our gray matter with an intense music video.
Papa Roach had been teasing the music video through the tail end of July, suggesting that the visuals would find vocalist Jacoby Shaddix being detained against his will at an institution and seemingly not being treated very well under their care.
Accordingly, the video has guards violently tossing the singer into cells, dousing a naked Shaddix with buckets of water, strapping him to tables and more. He tries to escape; it does not go well. He also gets to play the song with his Papa Roach bandmates in a padded cell.
Adding to the mayhem, guest vocalist Morse also cameos in the “BRAINDEAD” video. “My first acting debut, lol, this video is amazing,” the hardcore singer wrote on Papa Roach’s Instagram wall. “So honored to [be] part of it!”
