In the wake of Ghost’s massive, sold-out headlining show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden earlier in the week, the ghoulish occult rockers stuck around the Big Apple for an extra day to perform SKELETÁ standout “Lachryma” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Last night’s (July 23rd) televised performance had been teased last week across Ghost’s socials, where the Clergy confirmed that the band would be haunting Studio 6B at the famous 30 Rockefeller building. While it wasn’t exactly in the middle of the night, Ghost kept their promise, materializing on the Tonight Show stage to crank into their retro-crunchy, nocturnally minded metal cut. Chrome-masked Papa V Perpetua crooned passionately, while the nameless ghouls looked resplendent in their ebon-sparkled, skeleton-displaying, bat-winged getups.
Ghost’s late-night television sojourn was slotted between dates on the band’s current world tour. The Fallon performance followed a stunning MSG show where Papa V Perpetua dedicated the set to “the memory of the life and laughter of Ozzy Osbourne,” who had passed away just a few hours before.
