As we wait for the full details behind the proposed return of Ozzfest, The Masked Singer opted to host an Ozzfest of their own last night (March 4th). The televised singing competition’s most recent episode featured musical salutes to the Prince of Darkness, as sung by sentient eggplants, pangolins and more.
Last night’s “Ozzfest Night” initially found the four costumed contestants — Eggplant, Pangolin, High Voltage and Galaxy Girl — mounting the stage together to perform Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train.” Shots of the judges panel revealed Ken Jeong was wearing an Osbourne-patterned silk jacket, while Robin Thicke’s tasseled get-up suggested he’d raided the wardrobe of a Madman. Kelly Osbourne was also on-hand as a special guest.
Throughout the night, we also saw the illuminated High Voltage tackle Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” with a heavy metal cackle, with that performance also yielding a broken guitar by song’s end. The long-tongued, honey-vocaled Pangolin walked through the crowd to sing a surreal but touching version of early Nineties Oz ballad “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”
The wacky night also featured Galaxy Girl running through Incubus’ “Drive,” while Eggplant (revealed later to be soap actor Jack Wagner) did Linkin Park’s “One Step Closer” and “Iron Man.”

As previously reported, Sharon Osborne revealed in a recent interview that she’s been in discussions to bring back Ozzfest, the heavy music festival she co-founded in 1996.
Even more recently, the latest episode of the Osbournes podcast had her explaining that she hopes to stage a two-day version of Ozzfest in 2027 at Birmingham, UK’s Aston Villa Park — where Ozzy and Sabbath’s farewell “Back to the Beginning” concert had been held in 2025 — and then stage something similar at an as-yet undetailed North American city.
The tentative plan is to then make Ozzfest a touring festival again in 2028, marking the tour’s first broader run since 2008.
