Pig Heads, Blood, Black Metal: See Photos of Watain in Pennsylvania

Swedish black-metal miscreants Watain are infamous for their gnarly, nasty ritualized live performances, which the band members play splattered in animal blood, surrounded by bones and pig heads, often with blazing pyro intensifying the hellish vibe. During a recent show at Reading, Pennsylvania’s Reverb, Erik Danielsson and Co. weren’t allowed to blast fireballs, but they did bring out plenty of dead animal parts and rage through a ferocious setlist full of antireligious extreme metal.
