Last night (February 5th) at L.A.’s Fonda Theatre, art-metal weirdos Mr. Bungle played their first show in nearly two decades and did so in characteristically absurd and antagonistic style, playing exactly zero of the songs that they’re best known for. Instead, original members Mike Patton, Trey Spruance and Trevor Dunn — joined by Anthrax’s Scott Ian and drum hero Dave Lombardo — blasted through cuts off their high school demo, The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny, throwing in a few unrecorded rarities and choice covers (Slayer, Cro-Mags, S.O.D., Seals & Crofts and more) for good measure.
