Mötley Crüe are taking their “Carnival of Sins” back on the road.
The rock veterans have announced plans for a largescale North American “The Return of the Carnival of Sins” tour next summer, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their original Carnival. While a press release explains that the shows will feature a reimagined and updated set list unlike the original Carnival, the spirit of the shows will be the same — delivering “grit, humor, and high-voltage energy with elaborate staging and a sense of chaos that only Mötley Crüe could pull off.”
“This new show is for the Crüeheads who’ve been with us through it all and for the new Crüeheads who didn’t get to experience Carnival of Sins last time around,” the band said in a joint statement, adding, “Get ready — we’re coming your way and we can’t wait to see you next summer.”
The trip begins July 17th at Burgettstown, Pennsylvania’s Pavilion at Star Lake venue, and rolls around the U.S. — and a lone Canadian date in Toronto, Ontario — for two months. Joining Crüe for the carnage are hard rockers Tesla and Extreme. They all wind the Carnival down September 26th at Ridgefield, Washington’s Cascade Amphitheater.
VIP packages go up for sale tomorrow (November 19th), while general on-sales are available by Friday. It’s further noted that one dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to the ASAP! after school program, as part of the Mötley Crüe Giveback Initiative.

In addition to the tour announcement, Mötley Crüe have also just released a 40th anniversary box for 1985’s Theatre of Pain. The deluxe set includes a newly remastered version of the album on color vinyl, as well as a previously unreleased, era-appropriate concert LP recorded in Long Beach, a slab of wax full of rare demo recordings (1LP), and a 76-page hardcover book sporting photos and anecdotes from Mötley Crüe’s Theatre of Pain era.
