Coming off the spring release of sludge lords Melvins’ 28th full-length release, Thunderball, King Buzzo and the rest of the iconic crew have announced they’re ready to roll across North America on a joint tour with alt-rock lifers Redd Kross.
While Melvins are still on their “Savage Imperial Death March II” alongside grind greats Napalm Death, their “Stop Your Whining” tour with Redd Kross was announced earlier today (May 13th).
A press release confirms that the Melvins lineup on the trip — which begins September 9th at Flagstaff, Arizona’s Yucca North — comprises guitarist-vocalist Buzz Osborne, drummers Dale Crover and Coady Willis (High on Fire, Big Business), and bassist Steven McDonald. Naturally, partnering up with Redd Kross is a good fit, considering McDonald co-founded that band back in the late Seventies.
Pre-sales for for the six-week “Stop Your Whining” tour begin tomorrow (May 14th) at 10 a.m. local time, while general tickets are available by Friday (May 16th).
