16 years after first opening ‘Puscifer the Store’ in Jerome, Arizona, heavy music icon Maynard James Keenan and his wife Jennifer are relocating their brick-and-mortar shop/venue to Cottonwood, Arizona, and renaming the business Queen B Vinyl Café.
The recent announcement confirms that the Keenan’s are moving the family business about eight miles west of their previous location, with the newly christened Queen B. Vinyl Café set to open its doors October 23rd. The multi-pronged business is both a record store and a live venue, but also adds in the Barbifer barber shop, as well as food-and-drink options including a ramen house, a coffee roaster, and a wine bar serving selections from Maynard’s Caduceus Cellars, Merkin Vineyards, and Four 8 Wineworks.
“Relocating and renaming Puscifer the Store to Queen B Vinyl Café is about more than just a change of location – it is about seizing new possibilities,” co-owner Jennifer Keenan explained in a statement. “With our new location, we’re able to bring more live events to the community, while expanding our food offerings with the addition of both a coffee roaster and ramen house.”
A series of grand opening events are booked at Queen B between October 23-26, including a comedy set from Rory Scovel, a Q&A and book signing by author Chet Zar, musical performances from Baton Rouge sludgesters Thou and Star Wars-inspired metal troupe Galactic Empire and more.
