LINKIN PARK to perform at LEAGUE OF LEGENDS World Championship

The performing artists for the Opening Ceremony preceding the 2024 League of Legends World Championship (also known as Worlds) — the biggest esports event of the year — have been announced, and Linkin Park tops them all.

The re-formed nu-metal pioneers will take the stage to play their smash single “Heavy Is the Crown.” The 11th Worlds anthem, the song made League of Legends history as the largest anthem debut to date, having racked up over 360 million global audio streams and more than 57 million views of its music video on YouTube.

This year’s other Worlds Opening Ceremony performers are Ashnikko, Mars Atlas of Forts, and Tiffany Aris. Ashnikko will perform “Paint the Town Blue” from the Arcane season two soundtrack, while Mars Atlas of Forts and Tiffany Aris will bring the competitive season full circle with “Still Here,” the single from the 2024 League of Legends season start cinematic video.

Worlds will take place at London’s famous O2 Arena on Saturday, November 2nd at 7 a.m. PST/2 p.m. GMT. Linkin Park’s comeback album, FROM ZERO — which features “Heavy Is the Crown” — is due out November 15th.
