Killswitch Engage have officially announced their highly anticipated ninth studio album, This Consequence — the follow-up to 2019’s Atonement — and unleashed its powerful lead single, “Forever Aligned,” their first song in five years, along with its high-octane music video.
In addition, the metalcore trailblazers appear on one of the collectible covers of Revolver’s new Winter 2024 Issue, shot by acclaimed rock photographer Travis Shinn in Mexico City.
“‘Forever Aligned’ is one of those songs that is not just about us as humans, our love and connection, but that connection to the unknown, the greater power, the universe or God,” vocalist Jesse Leach commented. “It feels like a really good first song to release not just sonically, but lyrically, as it is all about connection. The device of world we live in could use a lot more connectivity.”
