Holy hell. The lineup for this year’s Louder Than Life has arrived, and it’s going to be epic — with the bookers behind “America’s Largest Rock & Metal Festival” having just confirmed headlining sets from Iron Maiden, My Chemical Romance, Limp Bizkit and TOOL, as well as big-time appearances from Pantera, Megadeth, Gojira and more.
The 12th edition of Louder Than Life will once again be staged at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, and it all takes place September 17th-20th.
More than 200 bands will appear, with the Thursday night opener upping the irons right quick with a Maiden headlining performance. That main stage also features Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies and more. Across the other stages, you’ve got Pantera, Danzig, Machine Head, Rise Against, Jimmy Eat World, Starset, From Ashes to New, Fit for a King, Erra, the Acacia Strain and more.
For Friday night’s festivities, MCR take the top honors on the main stage, which also has Coheed and Cambria, Taking Back Sunday, A Day to Remember and more. Elsewhere, the fest hosts PRESIDENT, Pierce the Veil, the Used, Loathe, the Pretty Reckless, the Warning, Mudvayne/Hellyeah frontman Chad Gray, AngelDu$t, Cavalera performing Sepultura’s Roots, and more. Alissa White-Gluz will also be making her live debut with her new solo band.
September 19th brings Nu-daddies Limp Bizkit to the main stage, where they’ll be joined by Sublime, Bilmuri, Tom Morello, Coal Chamber and more. The other stages have BABYMETAL, Papa Roach, Ice Nine Kills, Halestorm, In This Moment, Thursday, Kublai Khan TX, Bodysnatcher, Agnostic Front, Spite, Fox Lake and more.
It all closes out Sunday, September 20th, with a headlining finale from TOOL. The main stage also has film score fave Danny Elfman, the Prodigy, Ministry, the Mars Volta, Toadies and more. Elsewhere, you’ve got appearances from Gojira, Mastodon, Black Label Society, Dethklok, Killswitch Engage, Black Veil Brides, Underoath, Alexisonfire, Sleep Theory, Jutes, Sunami, Locked Shut, 200 Stab Wounds and more.
The weekend is also touting reunion sets from Circa Survive, Get Scared, Blood for Blood, Metal Church, Primer 55, Sent By Ravens and 40 Below Summer
