Mongolian folk-metal group the HU are a veritable internet phenomenon, having exploded seemingly out of nowhere to rack up 10s of millions of YouTube views with viral music videos like “Yuve Yuve Yu” (“What’s Going On?”). The self-described “hunnu-rock” band recently took their crowd-pleasing mix of alt-metal and traditional Mongolian music to Sacramento’s Aftershock festival.
