Last Halloween season, Twitching Tongues played a special Misfits tribute set — under the name Twitchfits and rocking fiend makeup — in San Fernando, California, and released a Misfits covers EP, Twitchfits Vol. 1. This year, the melodic hardcore faves are making it a tradition, gearing up for their second annual Twitchfits show, in L.A. this Friday (October 25th), and releasing a second Misfits covers record.
This one has faithful renditions of 10 songs by Glenn Danzig and Co., including “Hybrid Moments,” “Some Kinda Hate,” “We Are 138” (changed to “We Are 818” to reflect the band’s area code), “Mommy, Can I Go Out & Kill Tonight?,” “Bullet” and “She.” Listen to the whole thing below.
Twitchfits’ 2024 Halloween celebration will feature a costume contest with a cash prize and a photobooth to commemorate the special night of ghoulish mayhem. In addition to the headliners, it will also include sets by Anthony Family performing as Prince, Upon Stone performing as Metallica, Human Garbage performing as Negative Approach, Leave No Doubt performing as Agnostic Front, and Firestarter performing as Floorpunch.
