Hear TOM MORELLO team with STRAY KIDS and YOUNG MIKO on new ‘Arcane’ song

Earlier this year, guitarist Tom Morello delivered a collaborative track with his 13-year-old son, Roman. It turns out the iconic Rage Against the Machine guitarist has teamed up with another group of kids for his new single, though: specifically, South Korean boy band Stray Kids and rising Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko. Together, they’ve just released a pop-rock confection called “Come Play.”

The tune arrives as part of the soundtrack to the steampunk-and-fantasy inspired Arcane: League of Legends animated series for Netflix, which begins its second season next month. “Come Play” mixes pop-world digi-beats and Morello’s famously tone-warped guitar rhythms with multilingual, attitude-heavy bars from Young Miko and a few Stray Kids members. Morello also drops a vibey lil’ guitar solo in the middle, while the melody-juiced chorus features lore-leaning lyrics about having monsters in your head and blood on your hands.

Arcane: League of Legends premieres the first episode of its second season on November 9th. In the meantime, you can hear Morello’s new collaborative track in the player up above, and peep a trailer for the series — likewise scored by snippets of “Come Play” — down below.
