Sure to shoot your eyes wide open and set your mouths agape, genre-contortionists the Callous Daoboys have delivered a bombastically monstrous and uncomfortably voyeuristic single called “Watching Us Kiss.”
The new tune is the Daoboys’ second of 2026, following djented-and-bass-dropped springtime single “Gigantic Parasitic Tongue.” With “Watching Us Kiss,” the group are generally in wreckage-flinging berserker mode, leveling into a series of increasingly lead-booted mosh grooves, heavily-effected violin stabs, conceptually chopped-up gospel vocals and bone-splintering guitar noise.
Singer Carson Pace puts his throat to work while screaming through moments of peeping tom perversion (“Cuckold / You wanna watch it through the blinds, don’t you?”) — likely getting folks to take a closer look at their dictionary apps to find out what “scopophilia” means.
Pace posits of the piece: “‘Watching Us Kiss’ is sort of the answer to every question you’ve had in your entire life.”
Visually, a music video further explores scenes of domestic ick. Prepare to lap up the following: matrimonial master/servant dynamics detailed via dog leash; creeped-out Super 8 home movie making; spit-centric family meals; supernaturally commanded makeout sessions. The Daoboys are also on-hand to deliver a private performance for the disturbed nuclear unit. You can see for yourselves up above.
While “Watching Us Kiss” and “Gigantic Parasitic Tongue” are already on streamers, the band also announced that both songs will be pressed onto vinyl soon. An exclusive 10-inch single on “frostbite glass”-colored vinyl (limited to 200 copies) is up for pre-order in Revolver’s shop. The 10-inch follows the Daoboys’ 2025 LP, I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven.
As previously reported, the Callous Daoboys head off on a headline tour early next month, which finds them traveling with support acts Kaonashi, Girl Of Glass and Wielded Steel. The first date is a hometown gig at Atlanta, Georgia’s Masquerade venue on September 4th.
