Next month, Detroit hardcore bruisers Never Ending Game will release their sophomore album, Outcry, via Triple B Records. They already teased the follow-up to 2019’s phenomenal Just Another Day with two singles, “Memories” and “Never Die,” and today (April 19th) the band have dropped another heavy-hitting single called “Tank On E.”
There’re plenty of chunky breakdowns and menacing vocal grunts in this one, but otherwise, “Tank On E” might be NEG’s most straightforwardly catchy song yet. There’s almost a clean chorus, and the band let their melodeath influences shine through during the lead riff that buttresses the verses. It’s still brutal, but also great for pile-ons.
