Hear MARILYN MANSON sing on BILLY MORRISON’s new song “The Tailor”

Billy Morrison has officially filled streamers with the sounds of his new Hollow album, including a previously-teased collaborative track with shock-rocker Marilyn Manson.  Together, they’ve stitched-up a bleak battering number called “The Tailor”.

The track arrived on streamers today (August 7th), along with the rest of Hollow. It’s a brood-slamming slow rocker that appeals to Manson’s aesthetic, rough-knuckled riffs bristling against the vocalist’s array of sneers, jeers and screams.

Lyrically, Manson weaves a weary, sartorially-minded set of lines that explain the regrettable detailing of a costume “made out of wounds” (“Every promise is a funeral suit / I’m making garments afraid to be worn”). Worse yet, it turns out everyone’s slapping on their own bespoke misery-suit (“We wear our pain like we wear our clothes/ The more that it fits, the less that it shows”).

You can hear the tailors thread the needle with their tale of woe by giving the song a stream up above.

As previously reported, Morrison’s Hollow follows 2024’s The Morrison Project album. The new release was initially previewed by Morrison’s “Becoming” team-up with Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt at Godsmack’s Sully Erna. The album also features guest spots from Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Public Enemy’s Chuck D, Run DMC’s DMC, the Offspring’s Dexter Holland and more.

The album is out now via TLG | ZOID/Virgin Music Group. CD copies are available in Revolver’s shop, along with other releases from Morrison.

As for Manson, his One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2 album is out next Friday (August 14th) through Nuclear Blast Records. The CD edition and a Revolver-exclusive “Green w/ Black Splatter” 12-inch vinyl variant (limited to 500 copies) are up for pre-order here.
