Probably best known as Demi Lovato‘s fiancée, Jutes is an accomplished musician in his own right, as evidenced by his excellent, Deftones-ish 2024 album, Sleepyhead. Now, the long-independent Canadian artist is prepping a 15-track full-length follow-up, Dilworth, which will be released via his new label home, Position Music, and he’s offered up two fresh singles, “Left on Dilworth” and “Crucifixxx.”
Both continue the sad boi alt-metal vibes of Sleepyhead, bringing to mind not only Deftones but also modern R&B-tinged heavy acts like Sleep Token and Bad Omens. “Left on Dilworth” gets particularly heavy, leaning into some crushing grooves that recall the more bruising moments of ‘the Tones’ 2010 opus Diamond Eyes.
In addition to the new cuts, Dilworth also includes previously released singles “Red Velvet (With Ari Abdul),” “House of Cards,” “SMUT” and “The End.” No release date for the full album has been announced as yet.
