Gridiron — the rapcore supergroup featuring members of Never Ending Game, Scarab, Simulakra and other hardcore bands — have signed to Blue Grape Music (Code Orange, Gel, Superheaven) and announced some Northeast shows happening the week between Christmas and New Year’s with the great Trapped Under Ice. They’re set to put out a new album in spring 2025 (details TBA), and they’ve just released a new single, “Talk Real.”
It’s a tough-as-nails rap-rock anthem that, vocalist Mathew Karll says, “is about being ready when your number is called. Standing by your brothers and having a ‘we, not me’ mentality. Lyrically, it’s about rising to the occasion and playing for the name on the front of the jersey not the name on the back.”

The shows with Trapped Under Ice include Baltimore’s Ottobar on December 28th with Firewalker and Polarview; and Rutherford, New Jersey’s The Blackbox at the Williams Center on December 29th (near MetLife Stadium) with Fury of Five, Combust, Bad Beat and Negative Force.
Gridiron also play this year’s Keystone Holiday Jam in Pennsylvania (with Kublai Khan TX, Wisdom In Chains, Missing Link, Conservative Military Image, Simulakra, Bayway and more), an Albany show, and Sonic Temple. All dates are listed below.
