Ghost‘s debut feature-length movie, RITE HERE RIGHT NOW, is finally upon us. The film, which mixes concert and narrative footage, kicked off its global theatrical run yesterday (June 20th), and Papa Emeritus IV and the Nameless Ghouls had an extra surprise for moviegoers: a new/old song, titled “The Future Is a Foreign Land.”
The previously unreleased cut was revealed during the end credits of RITE HERE RITE NOW’s world premiere, and it’s just hit digital streaming platforms for wider consumption by the faithful legions. According to Ghost lore, the song is a “newly uncovered 1969-era gem” recorded by the Papa Nihil-fronted incarnation of the band. Indeed, with its jangly guitar, organ swells, wailing sax and future-tense talk of “1984,” the tune sits nicely beside “Kiss the Go-Goat” and “Mary on a Cross.”

RITE HERE RIGHT NOW will continue playing in cinemas worldwide June 21st, 22nd and 23rd. A full list of participating theaters can be found here, and tickets are on sale now.
The movie’s soundtrack — featuring “The Future Is a Foreign Land” (check out the full tracklist below) — is due out on vinyl July 26th and available for pre-order.
