After giving “Peacefield” its live debut last week, Ghost have now offered up the real-deal studio version of the glammy and ghoulish SKELETÁ anthem.
Coming off the dark-and-doomy “Lachryma,” “Peacefield” presents itself as a more positive-spirited, people-unting (“We are the legion, join us”) piece of Eighties-styled pop-metal confection, replete with multi-layered vocal hooks and a gold-gilded shred solo.
Lyrically, new vocalist Papa V Perpetua tunefully outlines the “dawn of prosperity,” the end of a tyrannical monarchy, and the hope that every generation ushers in great change and “a grand usurpation.”

As previously reported, Ghost began their world tour last week in Manchester, England. The band are currently traveling through Europe, while a U.S. leg of concert dates is set to take place in the summer. You’ll find more show details here.
