Ghostemane is back.
Following a guest verse for teen punks XCOMM earlier in 2026, experimental rapper Ghostemane has now dropped his first solo track in five years. Tailor-made to make his fans’ day, the song is called “Zero Day.”
The new song follows the artist’s Fear Network II EP from 2021. It begins with Korn-esque squiggles of detuned guitar, then Ghostemane hops on the mic to dress down know-it-alls and stand on business in a gravelly whisper (“Protect the house, feed the mouths the way I was never fed”).
He lunges into a more shout-forwarded style from there, a carpe diem spirit careening through a bristly, double-time nu-groove (“Everybody’s screaming ‘Fuck this and fuck that’ / Now it’s time to do something about it, something violent”).
The song was produced between by Ghostemane and Kenneth Blume (who’d previously contributed to “Sacrilege” off Ghostemane’s ANTI-ICON album from 2020). A new music video comps together live footage shot last week at a pair of surprise shows — the rapper’s first headline gigs in years. They filmed in an abandoned tunnel network in Austin, Texas, as well as at a warehouse in Houston.
Info on other upcoming Ghostemane projects is slim, but a press release notes that more music is on the way soon.
