Avenged Sevenfold have shared a never-before-heard live version of their Grammy-nominated ripper “The Stage.” Recorded during the band’s performance at London’s O2 Arena earlier this year, it’s one of four concert recordings included on the expanded edition of last year’s album The Stage, out December 22nd via Capitol. The release also features live versions of “Paradigm,” “Sunny Disposition,” and “God Damn.” Listen below via Billboard.
In addition to the aforementioned live renditions (and, obviously, the original album itself), Avenged Sevenfold’s expanded The Stage contains a slew of new material that the band trotted out earlier this year: covers of “Malagueña Salerosa,” Mr. Bungle’s “Retrovertigo,” Del Shannon’s “Runaway” (a collaboration with Vandals guitarist Warren Fitzgerald, featuring lead vocals by Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance); the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows,” and the Rolling Stones’ “As Tears Go By“; plus the trippy original song, “Dose.”
A7X’s refurbished The Stage arrives in the wake of Live at the Grammy Museum, an acoustic live album released earlier this month. Come 2018, they’ll join Breaking Benjamin and Bullet for My Valentine for a North American tour.
