Here’s something Architects fans will no doubt cherish for years to come: a new single from UK hardcore group Still in Love featuring guest vocals from none other than Sam Carter. The track, pulled from the act’s forthcoming debut album, Recovery Language, arrives under the title “Preserve & Cherish.”
The song is the third preview from Recovery Language, and it finds Still in Love — whose lineup features ex-and-current members of Bring Me the Horizon, Dead Swans, Throats, Last Witness and more — pounding into an arrangement of anthemic yet melancholy guitar work, pile-driving beats and insightful, introspective screams from singer Nick Worthington. Carter throws in some supportive vocal work, too.
“‘Preserve & Cherish’ was actually the first song we wrote for Recovery Language and we’ve been playing it live for a while,” the group said in a joint statement, adding that certain members have known Carter for more than 20 years, and “can’t think of a better guest vocalist to have on this track, especially as the lyrics reflect on feelings of gratitude and searching for your identity at a young age.”

Still in Love’s Recovery Language is out September 5th via Church Road Records.
As for Architects, the band are currently touring North America behind this year’s The Sky, The Earth & All Between. Tonight (August 12th) they play Chicago, Illinois’ Riviera Theatre.
