Three Days Grace’s current reunion run with returned vocalist Adam Gontier has officially kicked into overdrive. Following up on the heat of their 2024 single “Mayday” and a bunch of concert dates with the expanded lineup, the Canadian rockers have now unveiled the details on Gontier’s proper comeback album with the band. Titled Alienation, the record is out later this summer.
The band’s eighth full-length release was tracked alongside Zakk Cervini, Dan Lancaster and Howard Benson, and will indeed include last year’s “Mayday” single. Additionally, Three Days Grace are hyping up the set with a new single called “Apologies.”
The song, described by act as “a journey through inner collapse and outward defiance,” contrasts a light piano motif with heavy emotional reckoning on trauma, emotional baggage, coping mechanisms, and the spirit of forgiveness. It eventually ramps up the guitars and showcases the tandem vocal approach of Gontier and guitarist-vocalist Matt Waltz.
“This song’s a mirror for anyone who feels like they’re too far gone to be loved,” drummer Nel Sanderson said in a statement, “How it hurts more knowing someone did love you—just not enough to save you from yourself. Apologies don’t rewind time.”
Of the album, Sanderson added: “Some of what we write about – anxiety, addiction, heartbreak, disconnect, are often a different wave of the same storm. And yet, buried in all the wreckage is something human—still reaching out”

Three Days Grace likewise have an upcoming arena run with Volbeat launching in June, while a co-headline trek with Breaking Benjamin is up and running by September.
